Abstract [en]

Programming, safety measures and handling of inflexibility stillhinder robot implementation for many applications. However, advancementsin several fields such as programming, human–machine-interfacesand safety system technology are about to change this. These advancementscould make it possible for operators to collaborate with robots that assistoperators at close range, without compromising safety, often referred to ascobot installations. The aim of the project was to produce a picture of howpotential economic advantages can be evaluated from installations of cobotcells, to be compared with manual assembly and standard robotinstallations.
