Abstract [en]
Opportunity to bring innovative idea to life does not come so often. Live TV project [1] follows modern trends in mobile application development, and on top of that builds a service for live video delivery. Having an idea is one thing, but building it from the scratch, with quality in mind, requires a lot of research. Therefore this makes a great academic project.
The topic of this thesis is analysis and improvement of Live TV system. Since it is an existing system, an analysis of the system is needed in order to learn about the system and the technologies used. The system is build on three main parts or modules: mobile phone as a recorder, PC running studio application and streaming server, and finally a player that shows the video.
Analysis of the system and feedback from the previous uses of the system introduced suggestions for improvement. The thesis covers the system improvement path from initial analysis, through solution suggestions, analysis of improvement methods, and finally the solution itself.
Any improvements made to the system are made in a way to ensure ease of later upgrades. Because the technologies are changing constantly, future adjustments to the system are unavoidable. The system should be build in a way to adopt any new adjustments.
