Syftet var att ta fram en idéhanteringsmodell utifrån idéhanteringsteoretiska aspekter, samt utveckla den med hjälp av två skilda företagsrepresentanter. 

Författarna använde en deduktiv ansats där de utgick från befintliga teorier för att deducera fram en hypotetisk idéhanteringsteoretisk modell. De har sedan genom tre kvalitativa intervjuer utvecklat och verifierat den idéhanteringsteoretiska modellen. 

Den idéhanteringsteoretiska modellen har dels verifierats av intervjupersonerna, men också utvecklats. Författarna kom fram till en rad komponenter som de anser att idéhanteringssystemet bör innehålla.

The objective was to develop an idea management system model from idea management theoretical aspects, and develop the model using two separate business representatives. 

The authors have used a deductive approach where they started from existing theories in order to deduce a hypothetical idea management model. The authors have been through three interviews which have contributed to develop and verify the theoretical idea management model. 

The idea management system model was partly verified by the interviewees, but also developed. The authors arrived at a number of characteristics that they believe the idea management system should contain.
