Abstract [sv]

SAS har 22 stycken Boeing 737-700/800. I dessa finns ett skåp i köket som har stått tomt sedan kaffekokarna tagits bort för en tid sedan. Utrymmet har inte kunnat utnyttjas eftersom det varken finns någon tillslutande dörr, eller skydd för elektroniken och kablaget som finns längst in.

Detta examensarbete handlar om framtagandet av en dörr och skyddsplåt som möjliggör för kabinpersonalen att använda förvaringsutrymmet. För att modifieringen ska bli godkänd har arbetet gjorts i enlighet med kraven som finns i EASA CS-25. Därtill har arbetet innefattat 3D- modellering i CAD-programmet SolidWorks från konceptstadiet till den slutgiltiga konstruktionen. SolidWorks har även använts för att simulera konstruktionen. Slutligen gjordes en hållfasthetsanalys som säkerställer att dörren tål de laster som krävs.

Hela arbetet har utförts i projektform enligt standardiserade normer med dokument anpassade för SAS verksamhet. Detta har i praktiken inneburit framtagning av dokument som tillsammans med ritningar har använts som underlag vid certifieringsprocessen.

Abstract [en]

SAS fleet of 22 Boeing 737-700/800 has a compartment in one of the galleys which has not been used since the coffee maker was removed some time ago. This is because no door has been installed, and protection of electronics and wiring in the back of the compartment is missing.

This thesis involves the development of a new door and a back plate, which creates a complete compartment/storage space. In order for the modification to be approved, the work has been in accordance with the requirements in EASA CS-25. In addition, the work has included 3D modeling in the CAD software SolidWorks, from the concept stage through the final design. SolidWorks has also been used to simulate the structure. Lastly, a strength analysis has been made to ensure that the door can withstand the required specified loads.

All work has been performed on a project basis according to standards with documents customized for SAS operations. In practice, this means development of documents and drawings which are used as basis in the certification process.
