The speed at which technological developments happen increases exponentially. This development continues and makes actions of companies, producing technology uncertain in a sense that it be- comes difficult to foresee future trends and necessary innovations.
Corporate Entrepreneurship was determined as an element of strategy that allows companies, operating in very dynamic environments like the wind energy industry, to handle complexity with the aim of causing innovation, which leads to a competitive advantage. In a literature review we identified factors that enable Corporate Entrepreneurship: risk-taking, strategic self-renewal and pro-activeness. These three factors are supported by vision, attitude and action, which transform entrepreneurial behavior into innovation.
Data from a study and interviews, with the aim of detecting if Corporate Entrepreneurship is practiced in the industry, was ob- tained. The result was that the key factors risk-taking, strategic re- newal and vision are not applied to a degree that allows the success- ful practicing of Corporate Entrepreneurship in the wind energy industry.
