Abstract [en]

This paper discusses the ability to present statistics to children, and it suggests that visualizations facilitate interpretations of complex numerical data. Statistics are often a basis for decisions, and children are able to make their own decisions to some extent. Therefore it is necessary to discuss how statistics for children can be designed. Three different examples will be discussed in relation to the role of visual representations in making abstract numbers concrete for children.
