Abstract [en]

The aim of this study is to investigate how to maintain a safe environment at the construction site regarding environmental fire safety and occupational safety. Using interviews, case studies, observations, and document analysis, data will be collected to generate an outcome that will, in turn, develop recommendations to enhance fire safety measures while considering workplace conditions.

Areas of concern:

1. What are the most common deficiencies on the construction site regarding safety?

2. What strategies and preventive measures are employed to identify the most frequent accidents on the construction site?

3. How is the environmental and safety round work followed up on a construction site, and what procedures are in place to ensure their effective implementation?

To ensure that construction sites are safe and sustainable, it is of paramount importance to continuously evaluate and improve safety and environmental measures. The challenges are multifaceted and require an integrated strategy encompassing accident prevention, environmental protection, and the creation of a secure working environment for all involved.

This study aims to thoroughly examine how to maintain a safe working environment on construction sites, with particular emphasis on three main areas:

Construction activities can have a significant impact on the surrounding environment. By reviewing and enhancing environmental measures on construction sites, we can minimize adverse effects such as the release of hazardous substances, waste management, and the protection of natural resources.

Fire risks are a serious concern on construction sites, with the potential to cause harm to life, property, and the environment. By evaluating and improving fire safety measures, we can mitigate these risks and respond effectively in the event of a fire incident.

The safety and well-being of workers are of the utmost importance. By examining working conditions and the real-time implementation of safety measures, we can identify areas that need improvement to ensure a secure and healthy working environment.

Utilizing a broad methodological approach, including surveys, observations, interviews, and case studies, this study seeks to generate insights and recommendations that can contribute to promoting safety and sustainability on construction sites. The study aims to be a valuable contribution to the construction industry's efforts to minimize risks and create a safe and responsible working environment while respecting and protecting the environment.
