Bakgrund: Palliativ vård är betydelsefullt för patienter som åldras eller har en obotlig sjukdom. Palliativ vård delas upp i två faser och bör utföras utifrån de fyra hörnstenarna samt en personcentrerad modell för att kvalitetssäkra vården. Patienter erfar att en god relation med sjuksköterskor leder till en ökad livskvalitet. Patienter uppskattar att det sker kontinuitet i hemmet. Dock beskriver de att samarbetet mellan sjuksköterskor och andra i vårdteamet inte alltid är fullständigt. Syfte: Att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av palliativ vård i patienters hem. Metod: En allmän litteraturöversikt med nio kvalitativa artiklar och två kvantitativa artiklar. Resultat: Utifrån analysen av artiklarna framkom tre valda teman: Betydelsen av att skapa relationer, betydelsen av samarbete inom vårdteamet och utmaningar i vårdsituationer. Slutsats: Sjuksköterskor erfor att en väl fungerade palliativ vård i hemmet uppstod när sjuksköterskor och patienter hade en god relation. En god relation uppstod när sjuksköterskor ställde rätt frågor och skapade tid för samtal. Sjuksköterskor erfor att ett gott samarbete mellan sjuksköterskor och läkare var väsentligt, dock försvårades samarbetet när läkarna inte ville involveras i patienters vård. Det var mindre krävande att hantera svåra vårdsituationer när sjuksköterskorna hade tidigare erfarenhet.

Background: Palliative care is important for patients who are aging or have an incurable disease. Palliative care is divided into two phases and should be carried out based on the four cornerstones and a person-centered model to ensure quality care. Patients experience that a good relationship with nurses leads to an increased quality of life. Patients appreciate that there is continuity in the home. However, they describe that the cooperation between nurses and others in the care team is not always complete. Purpose: To describe nurses' experiences of palliative care in patients' homes. Method: A general literature review with nine qualitative articles and two quantitative articles. Results: Based on the analysis of the articles, three selected themes emerged: The importance of creating relationships, the importance of cooperation in the care team and challenges in care situations. Conclusion: Nurses experienced that a well-functioning palliative care at home arose when nurses and patients had a good relationship. A good relationship emerged when nurses asked the right type of questions and created time for conversation. Nurses learned that a good collaboration between nurses and doctors was essential, however, collaboration was difficult when the doctors did not want to be involved in the patients' care. It was less demanding to handle difficult situations when nurses had previous experience.
