This master's thesis explores the conditions for the development of a leadership style model for managers, school directors in the education system. For this, various theories regarding leadership styles were identified, finding that over time these leadership styles have changed. In this way, one of the leadership styles that has the greatest impact on innovation is identified. it is the transformational leadership style. Therefore, this was taken for the elaboration of this model. For its validation, qualitative research was used and information was collected through interviews and literature review to improve it. Giving rise to a conceptual model of leadership style, will generate value for the organization not only in its leadership style but also in the possibility that conditions for innovation can be generated
