The study aims to examine how different innovation support systems experience collaboration effects with other innovation support system actors. This study focuses on collaboration in the first phase of the innovation process, which involves generating ideas. A qualitative research approach with a focus on conducting various interviews formed the basis of this study. Using the collected empirical data, it was analyzed how innovation support systems experience the effects of collaboration. The results have shown that collaboration effects can be experienced in both positive and negative ways. This depends on what goals and driving forces the organization has for collaborating with other actors.
