Enligt Artdatabanken (2023) är igelkotten en rödlistad art och har rödlistbedömning nära hotad. Detta betyder att det finns en risk att arten kan dö ut. Som Artdatabanken (2020) skriver så är igelkotten en art som nyligen blivit tillagd på rödlistan 2020. Hoten är många och består bland annat av miljögifter, jordbrukslandskap och robotgräsklippare enligt Naturskyddsföreningen (2023). Idag finns det nästan inget material om rödlistade arter riktade mot personer som kan göra något för att hjälpa arten. För att gynna igelkottens överlevnad eller vilken rödlistad art som helst i Sverige så måste informationen nå ut till rätt användargrupp på rätt sätt för att ge den rödlistade arten en större chans till att överleva och återhämta sig.

Denna studie handlar om att applicera och undersöka om AIDA-modellen kan användas som ett hjälpande stöd och som grund i utformningen av informationsgrafiken för att få användaren att agera till att hjälpa arten. Teorier om gestaltningslagar, perception och kognition, färg samt insamlad information från experter och användargrupp kommer också att användas som stöd i utformningen av informationsgrafiken.

Studiens resultat visar att AIDA-modellen kan användas i utformningen av en informationsgrafik för att skapa ett agerande från användargruppen, men då måste det finnas tydliga sätt för användaren att göra vissa åtgärder. Att låta QR-koder finnas med i informationsgrafiken tillåter en smidig och snabb förflyttning till sidor där användaren kan göra aktiva val. För att öka användarnas intresse och uppmärksamheten för innehållet bör illustrationer finnas med i informationsgrafiken. Det var tydligt att illustrationerna bidrog till användarnas intresse för materialet. Illustrationer ger visuellt stöd för textinnehåll och visuell överblick över åtgärder som användaren kan göra för att hjälpa arten.

According to the Artdatabanken (2023), the hedgehog is a red-listed species and has a red-list assessment of near threatened. This means that there is a risk that the species may become extinct and needs help. As the Artdatabanken (2020) writes, the hedgehog is a species that newly has been added to the red list in 2020. The threats are many and consist, among other things, of environmental toxins, agricultural landscapes, and robotic lawnmowers according to the Nature Conservation Association (2023). Today, there is almost no material on red-listed species aimed at people who can do something to help the species. To benefit the survival of the hedgehog or any red-listed species in Sweden, the information must reach the right target group in the best way possible to give the red-listed species a greater chance to survive. 

This study is about investigating whether the AIDA model can be used as a helpful support tool and as a basis in the design of the infographic. Theories about design laws, perception, and cognition, collected information from experts and the target group will also be used as support in the design choices for the information graphic.

The results of the study show that the AIDA model can be used in the design of an infographic to create an action from the user group, but there must be clear ways for the user to take certain actions. Including QR codes in the infographic allows a smooth and quick movement to sites where the user can make active choices. Illustrations should be included in the infographic to increase user interest and attention to the content. It was clear that the illustrations contributed to the users’ interest to the material. Illustrations provide visual support for textual content and overview of the actions the user can take to help the species.
