Abstract [sv]

Denna studie ämnar undersöka orsakerna till att högteknologiska företag som tillverkarelektriska träningsmaskiner fastnar i the chasm när de ska förflytta sig från den tidiga tillstora marknaden. Denna uppsats utgörs av en kvalitativ fallstudie, då vi undersöker enorganisation samt händelse. Insamlingen av det empiriska materialet har genomförts medhjälp utav flertalet enkäter samt en semistrukturerad intervju. Det insamlade materialet visaratt högteknologiska företags innovations spridning arbete är en aning vagt. Utöver detta såsaknar dessa företag även vetskapen kring the chasm och hur man ska ta sig över den.Studien resulterar i reviderad modell av Moores crossing the chasm modell, även faktorersom kan påverka dessa företags chanser att etablera sig på stora marknaden negativt. Avslutningsvis så lyfter vi vilka åtgärder högteknologiska företag bör genomföra för att öka chanserna att etablera sig på stora marknaden. 

Abstract [en]

This study aims to investigate the reasons why high-tech companies that manufacture electricexercise machines get stuck in the chasm when they are trying to move from the early to themainstream market. This essay consists of a qualitative case study, in which we examine anorganization and an event. The collection of the empirical material has been carried out withthe help of several surveys and a semi-structured interview. The material collected shows thatthe spreading work of high-tech companies' innovation work is a bit vague. In addition tothis, these companies also lack the knowledge about the chasm and how to get over it. Thestudy results in a revised model of Moore's crossing the chasm model, also factors that cannegatively affect these companies' chances of establishing themselves in the large market.Finally, we highlight what measures high-tech companies should implement to increase thechances of establishing themselves in the mainstream market.
