Abstract [en]

It seems that a lot of idea carriers don't have the knowledge of how to sell ideas

to companies. Through this work, the authors of this study would like to help idea

carriers to spread their ideas on the Swedish market. If the idea carrier sells their

idea to an established company the profit may be greater than if the idea carrier

handles the production and distribution on their own. In this qualitative study, ten

people have been interviewed; innovation advisers, idea carriers and companies.

The interviews have generated what subjects the idea carrier should highlight if

they encounter a company who they intend to sell their idea to. The way the idea

carrier presents their idea is crucial to the company's decision about the

possibility of the company buying the idea. The results of the study show that the

idea carriers' attention should be on customer focus, customer value and

intellectual property law.

Abstract [sv]

En stor bristande kunskap tycks finnas hos idébärare om hur idéer kan säljas till

företag. Studiens författare vill genom detta arbete hjälpa idébärare att nå ut med

sina idéer på den svenska marknaden. Genom att idébäraren säljer sin idé till ett

etablerat företag kan vinsten bli större än om idébäraren hanterar tillverkningen

på egen hand och använder sig av egna distributionskanaler. I denna kvalitativa

studie har tio deltagare intervjuats, dessa har varit innovationsrådgivare,

idébärare och företag. Intervjuerna har resulterat i att studiens författare kunnat

synligöra vilka ämnesområden idébäraren bör känna till när de möter ett företag

och avser att sälja sin idé till företaget. Idébärarens presentation av sin idé är

avgörande för företagets beslut om ett eventuellt uppköp av idén. Studiens

resultat visar att idébärarens uppmärksamhet bör riktas mot ämnesområdena

kundfokus, kundvärde och immaterialrätt.
