Globalization and Women's Health
2007 (English)In: Globalization and Health, Oxford University Press , 2007Chapter in book (Other academic)
Abstract [en]

This chapter addresses the impacts of globalization on women's status and health. It argues that globalization has both positive and negative impacts on women's health, and these impacts are unequally distributed among different groups of women. The need for gender-equity-oriented macroeconomic, trade, and labor market policies remains an urgent priority for the future course of globalization.
