Does the frictionless teaching in technology exist in grades 4 - 6? (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this essay is to gain knowledge about what causes hinders for four teachers who teach in technology in grades 4 – 6 and their view of it. This essay has used semi-structured interviews to collect data. The interviews have then been analyzed based on a framework on previous research about obstacles in technology education. Theories such as Frame factor theory and Knowledge base have been used in the discussion of this paper’s result. The result of this study indicates and shows the different levels of the Framework factors that are tied to the main categories: lack of time, supply shortage, lack of materials in education of technology, pupils, teaching environment, status of the technology subject and teachers who teach the subject technology causes hinders for technology teachers in grades 4 – 6.
