Bakgrund: Cancerbehandlingen ger ofta kraftiga biverkningar hos den som drabbats av cancer. Sjuksköterskans fokus är att främja hälsa hos individen vilket kan ske genom att stödja patienten i sin återhämtningsprocess. Problem: En stor andel patienter som avslutat en cancerbehandling upplever att återhämtningen efteråt är tuff och svår. Patienterna påverkas negativt i sin hälsa även lång tid efter avslutad cancerbehandling och behovet av att ingå i ett hälsofrämjande arbete blir betydande för att uppnå en återhämtning. Syfte: Att belysa faktorer av betydelse för sjuksköterskans hälsofrämjande arbete för patienter som avslutat cancerbehandling Metod: En litteraturöversikt innehållande fyra kvalitativa artiklar, tre kvantitativa artiklar och tre artiklar av mix-metod. Resultat: Tre teman identifierades som hade betydelse i sjuksköterskans hälsofrämjande arbete för patienter som avslutat cancerbehandling. Dessa var: betydelsen av patientens unika berättelse, betydelsen av stöd och betydelsen av att dela kunskap. Slutsats: Sjuksköterskans stödjande roll för patienter som avslutat en cancerbehandling skiljer sig åt mellan varje unik patient vilket måste beaktas i sjuksköterskans hälsofrämjande arbetet. 

Background: Cancer treatment often produces severe side effects in those affected by cancer. Nurse's focus is to promote the health of the individual which can be done by supporting the patient in their recovery process. Problem: Patients who have completed a cancer treatment find that recovery afterwards is tough and difficult which means that patients are adversely affected in their health even long after the end of the cancer treatment and the need to be part of a health promotion work becomes significant in order to achieve a health recovery. Aim: To elucidate factors of importance for the nurse's health promotion work for patients who have completed cancer treatment. Method: A literature review containing four qualitative articles, three quantitative articles and three articles by the mix method. Results: Three themes were identified that have significance in the nurse's health promotion work for patients who have completed cancer treatment. These were: The importance of the patient's unique story, the importance of support and the importance of knowledge sharing. Conclusion: The nurse's supporting role for patients who have completed a cancer treatment differs between each unique patient which must be considered in the nurse's health promotion work.
