Problem

-Finns det ett intresse för poker i mobiltelefonen som en extratjänst, och vilken typ av person är i så fall intresserad?

-Vad skulle kunna hindra intentionen att spela poker i mobiltelefonen?

Syfte

Att ta reda på huruvida det finns ett intresse för mobilpoker bland svenska högskolestudenter och vilken typ av person denna produkt kan rikta sig till. Vidare ämnar författarna undersöka vad som kan hindra intentionen att spela poker i mobiltelefonen.

Metod

En kvantitativ undersökning genomfördes på studenter vid Mälardalens Högskola. Data insamlades med hjälp av en webbenkät med slutna frågor för att fastställa studenternas attityd till mobilpokerns olika attribut.

Slutsats

Det allmänna intresset för mobilpoker hos studenter var relativt lågt. Dock kan man utskilja vissa personer som är mer intresserade än andra. Män 22-25 år visade sig vara en grupp som hade en stark attityd till poker i allmänhet. Bland dessa var de personer som antingen var singlar och/eller bodde själva samt hade en extrainkomst som var den mest tänkbara personen för att spela poker i mobiltelefonen. Tryggheten visade sig vara den största orsaken till varför studenter inte har intentionen att spela poker i mobiltelefonen. Osäkerheten och anpassningen visade sig vara viktiga faktorer, och även bristen på umgänge påverkade intentionen.

Problem

-Is there an interest for poker in the cell phone as an extra service, and which type of person would then be interested?

-What could interfere with the intention to play poker in the cell phone?

Purpose

To find out whether there is an interest for poker in the cell phone among Swedish college students and which type of person this product could be aimed for. Furthermore the authors will investigate what could interfere with the intention to play poker in the cell phone.

Method

A quantitative research was carried out on students at Mälardalen University. Data was collected by using a web survey with fixed answers to determine the interest of the students towards the different attributes of poker in the cell phone.

Conclusion

The general interest for poker in the cell phone among students was relatively low, although you can distinguish some persons who are more interested than others. Men at the age of 22-25 turned out to be a group with a strong attitude towards poker in general. Among these it turned out that singles with an extra income were the persons with the highest possibility to play poker in the cell phone. Security turned out to be the strongest reason why students don’t have the intention of playing poker in the cell phone. Uncertainty and the lack of adjustment seemed to be important factors, and also the lack of social relations turned out to affect the intention.
