Abstract [sv]

Föreliggande studie syftar till att undersöka praktikens betydelse för erfarenhetsbaserat lärande och anställningsmöjligheter för beteendevetare, inom högre utbildning. Studiens teoretiska utgångspunkt är erfarenhetsbaserat lärande. Den metodologiska ansatsen är kvantitativ och det empiriska materialet samlades in genom webbaserade enkäter. Resultatet tyder på att det är fler beteendevetare som studerat det beteendevetenskapliga programmet utan praktik, än med praktik. Resultatet visar även att det till viss del råder skillnad mellan beteendevetare i förhållande till erfarenhetsbaserat lärande och anställningsmöjligheter. Vidare indikerar resultatet att de som studerat utan praktik, hade föredragit att studera med praktik. 

Abstract [en]

This study intends to examine the significance of internship for experience-based learning and employment opportunities for behavioral scientists, within higher education. The theoretical outset is experience-based learning. The methodological approach is quantitative, and the empirical material is collected through web-based surveys. The result indicates that there are more behavioral scientists who have studied the behavioral science program without an internship, than with an internship. The result also shows that there is, to some extent, a difference between behavioral scientists in relation to experience-based learning and employment opportunities. Furthermore, the result indicates that those who studied without an internship, preferred to study with an internship.
