Abstract [en]

There is a problem in Abetongs factory in Kvicksund when it comes to some difficult walls. There are some walls that are unstable because of its geometry and therefor is unable tostand up straight without support from other walls or from wooden planks. The mainpurpose with this work is to come up with a proposal on how to make the unstable wallsstand up without being supported from others walls or by wooden planks. This work wasmade with the help of two methods, literature study and a case study. The literature studycontains a reference literature about prefabricated walls, master thesis and material fromAbetong AB. The case study contains interviews with coworkers at Abetong and visits atAbetongs concrete factory in Kvicksund. The proposal that we came up with is hopefully asuggestion that will bring interest for Abetong because it is in their advantage. Thissuggestion will make it easier and more efficient when it comes to lifting the walls and evenwhen it comes to standing up the walls. At present there are some complaints from theworkers who handle the walls, they feel unsafe when handling the walls because of itsunstable geometry but with the help of our suggested proposal the working environment willbecome better and the workers will feel safer when handling the walls. The suggestion thatwe came up with is to use a bracing as a support for the wall. We came up with two differentsupport for the walls and these supports are presented in this diploma work. We came toconclusion that by using these support that we have developed it will improve the lifting, handling and the transportation of the walls. This will benefit Abetong and their workers inmany ways.
