Abstract [sv]

Syftet med denna integrativa litteraturstudie var att undersöka kuratorns yrkesroll inom skolans verksamhet för att få förståelse kring olika förutsättningar som påverkar utformningen av det skolkurativa arbetet.För att hitta material till studien har en integrativ litteraturstudie genomförts. Resultaten som framkom i studien visade att de faktorer som främst påverkade utformningen av skolkuratorn roll är rektorn, nationella riktlinjer, utbildning och rollförväntningar. Vidare framkom hur rollförväntningar förekom från olika parter som rektorer, lärare, elever och föräldrar vilket kunde skapa motsättningar i det fall som dessa inte överensstämde med varandra. Resultatet visade även att det fanns flera olika faktorer som påverkade relationen mellan skolkuratorer och andra intressenter, där en viktig del uppgavs vara att gemensamma uppfattningar kring skolkuratorns roll och arbetsuppgifter upprättades. Det visade sig även vara av vikt att ett ömsesidigt förtroende och god kommunikation mellan de olika professionerna inom skolans miljö skapades och upprätthölls.

Abstract [en]

The aim of this study was to examine the counselor’s role within the school in order to gain an understanding of different pre-conditions that influence the shape of the school counselor’s work. In order to find material for the study, an integrative literature study has been conducted. The results found in the study showed that the factors that mainly influenced the shape of the school counselor role are the principal, national guidelines, education and role expectations. Furthermore, it emerged that there were role expectations from different parties, such as principals, teachers, students and parents, which could create disagreements in the event that they did not match each other. The result also showed that there were several factors that affected the relationship between school teachers and other stakeholders, where an important part was said to be the establishment of common beliefsabout the role and duties of the school counselor. It also became clear that it was important that a mutual trust and good communication between the various professions within the school environment were made and maintained.
