Abstract [en]
In our society more things get connected to the internet by the minute and with that comes risks we did not have before. Most secure would be not to connect computer systems together at all but sadly that also makes the systems lose some features. It is simply too convenient to resist connecting them. To mitigate the risks, measures of security can be taken. This is rather complex and therefore it might be a good idea to have some kind of checklist if this is to be done more than once. The consultant company this work is done both for, and together with, installs new customer networks every month and must have precise documentation of each network since it is impossible to know it all by heart. This thesis results both in a Best Current Practice, a framework of how to configure units if there is no reason to do it in another matter, and a checklist that ensures that this framework is followed.
