Abstract [en]

The team from Mälardalen university in Eskilstuna, which goes by name “MDH-solar team”, will compete in the World Solar challenge by the autumn of 2017. The “contest” challenges groups of students in different fields from different universities throughout the world, to design and construct a solar car. Which will later be driven a 3000km route throughout Australia. In this particular case, the number of rims that the MDH-solar team has acquired, is not as many as the number of tires. This is the reason why the team will need some kind of tool to change tires in Australia during the race, in the case of any type of “tire failure”.
