The purpose with this study is to do research of the cooperation between school counselorsand social workers from their respective perspective in a municipality concerning childrenwho are abused or are at risk of being abused. It is a qualitative study based on a targetedconvenience selection where a semi-structured interview form consisting of one groupinterview and individual interviews from both school counselors and social workers has beenimplemented. The study is based on an abductive approach. The results show that thecooperation between the school counselors and social workers could be better and there aremany factors that affect the outcome. Factors that affect the cooperation are for instancecommunication, workload, understanding each other’s work, guidelines and legislation. Bothparts have a similar view on cooperation and of a desirable cooperation, but that does notcorrespond to how the cooperation works at present.
